Faculty

Our faculty comprises of richly experienced trainers presently working and engaged in corporate training. They are primarily driven by a passion for social service and a willingness to share their knowledge with students in a way that best benefits the latter. Train the trainer programs equip our trainers with constant updates on changes in the world of industry and also fine-tune their life skills.

Internship

Studies by organizations like NASSCOM (National Association of Software Companies) have revealed that lack of industry- academia interaction is one of the major reasons for skill gap in India. The campus curriculum still does not reflect the real needs of the industry. Therefore by engaging students in developmental activities, the industry can leverage their young, innovative minds to trigger research and development work. This will result in a win-win situation for both parties as students get an early head start in real life projects and the companies can save on their cost of training.

During the 6 months program, our students will also work as interns with firms who operate in the above mentioned areas. This will give them exposure to real time working environment, processes and technologies firsthand. Moreover they will gain much needed confidence and an invaluable exposure to the corporate environment, before they get formally employed.

From the point of view of the companies taking them as interns, the former will get a fair observation period to evaluate the student interns and decide on absorbing them into permanent employment.

Oorjja values its partnerships with major industry firms for facilitating the internships. Through this process we also address the companies’ resourcing issues to some extent. Most companies are on the lookout for the right candidate – meaning a candidate with the required knowledge, essential skills, the right attitude and aptitude to perform in the job. This program thus serves as a channel for talent spotting.
